The table arrived in the time they said it would and it's perfect for us. It's solid and sturdy. Coffee tables aren't supposed to be taller than your couch cushions so it fits perfectly in our living room. It is a bit dark, maybe a shade away from black but all the furniture in our living room is that dark espresso color so you can't tell. I would definitely recommend getting this coffee table.

It's wood but not a solid piece of wood the table is made from 2" x 2" strips that are glued and pressed together and when the install the bottom piece with the metal accents they tightened the screw way to much and split the table straight down the middle. There's no phone number for this company but have sent them an email it's has been 3 days and they HAVE NOT responded !!!!!!!!!!!! This the first thing I have ever boughten off Amazon and the last because of my experience with this purchase.

Overall, this is a decent coffee table for a good price. I'm happy with the small size (exactly what I needed for the space I had), solid construction and simple assembly. I am disappointed, however, in the color of the finish. I ordered the matching end table, which was a nice dark espresso that matches my other espresso finish furniture. The coffee table, however, is solid black. Both items arrived the same day, and side by side, they don't go together at all- the color is so different. The underside of the coffee table matches the side table, it looks like someone was a little overzealous with how many coats of finish to put on and over-darkened it.

All in all, a good table for the price, but definitely in need of a little better quality control in the color department. If I had purchased this in a store, I would bring it back and have them open the boxes to find one that matches the end table. Too much effort to ship it back and take the luck of the draw on whether the next finish will be better or worse.
